MAP PACK # 2 on its way

Modern Warfare 2 Resurgence Package hits June 3rd on #xboxlive and brings with it 5 new maps to #MW2 multiplayer! I'll send details your way

WTF? I have only played two of the new maps from the last one ( funny enough they were overgrown and crash, so I really have yet to play the three NEW ones ). I guess I need to spend more time playing video games and spend less traveling and spending time outside...

it has been raining non stop here in the 'D' since last week. Nothing to do except stay home or go to the gym.... this is after work. work sucks!

Resurgence Pack Announced

Earlier than many of us suspected, Modern Warfare 2 will get another 5 new maps in 3 weeks!

We all remember the day the Stimulus package was released like the day of yesterday, but today our contact from Activision send us a press release that announces new DLC (downloadable content) for Modern Warfare 2! The pack will be called the Resurgence Pack and will hit first on the Xbox LIVE network worldwide on June 3rd, which is exactly 3 weeks from now!

Nothing has been said about a price or the other platforms (PS3/PC) but it's highly likely that this pack will cost $15 and will again be exclusive for Xbox 360 for 30 days.

The Resurgence Pack will feature five maps and will be celebrated with 2 (yep, two!) double XP weekends.
Double XP weekends

* Friday, May 28
* Firday, June 4

Rumored Maps

A while back hackers revealed a couple of maps that will probably be released in this map pack. Please be advised that this is pure speculation and it's based rumors by hackers.

These are the "new" maps that were found by them:

* Revolt
* Complex (probably renamed to Bailout)
* Storm
* Abandoned
* DCWH - D.C White House
* Compact (probably renamed to Salvage)

These map names from Call of Duty 4 were named (two of which are already released in the Stimulus Pack):

* Shipment
* Vacant
* Overgrown
* Crash

As you know 'Storm, Overgrown and Crash' were in the Stimulus map pack. So if the above is correct, the next map pack will follow in the Stimulus map pack with 3 brand spanking new maps and two revamped map from Call of Duty 4.

* Revolt
* DC White house
* Abandoned
* Vacant
* Shipment

Resurgence Pack Screens



The first screenshots of the next Modern Warfare 2 Map Pack have been revealed, showcasing the 3 new maps and 2 CoD4 maps.

Yesterday we reported that the next Modern Warfare 2 downloadable content "Resurgence Pack" had been announced ». The announcement revealed the name and the release date of the map pack while the names and descriptions of each map soon followed.

A day later and the first screenshots of each map have been revealed.
Vacant

Vacant - MW2 Map Pack 2

Wide open Russian office complex. Updated with new visuals and atmosphere. There will be different routes through this map, depending on which game type you are playing.
Strike

Strike - MW2 Map Pack 2

The classic map with the large monument in the middle. Visual and atmosphere updates as well.
Carnival

Carnival - MW2 Map Pack 2

A fairly large deserted Amusement park set in the daytime. Many different locations within the map, such as a house of the future, a roller coaster, and many other things. The fun house is a main vantage point.
Fuel

Fuel - MW2 Map Pack 2

A completely different map than the others in the Resurgence Pack. It is "a sniper heaven", and it's big. Fuel is an oil refinery broken into 2 sections, one being the outdoors with things such as pumps, while there is another part in the offices of the refinery. The objectives will be placed within the building, so snipers can cover from the outside.
Trailer Park

Trailer Park - MW2 Map Pack 2

A trailer park(no way!) set near the campaign level "Boneyard". It is a close-quarters map for objective game modes. Choke points are apparently obvious. Running and Gunning, check.

The Modern Warfare 2 Resurgence Pack will arrive first on Xbox Live 3rd June for 1200 Microsoft Points.
