I have helped close 4 large plants in my area. All but one of them are sitting empty. The one plant that is not sitting empty has been half torn down and the remaining structure has been sold to another manufacting company. It was depressing to drive by this one plant every day on my way to work. I had helped the IT manager several times and helped remove IT equipment out of this plant. It was weird to see a 1.0 million sq foot building completely empty with no equipment. tHIS one plant helped win WWI by making bullets and airplane/tanks parts. The stamping presses were all sold a few months back, these presses built a ton of equipment over the years. mOst of the presses were over 50 years old and ran like a champ.
